Message To Readers – The Music Of Silence

Hello. Thank you for choosing to read this message. I’ve loved language and literature since I was a child, and poetry most of all. It is thus with great pride and pleasure I now present my first volume of poetry for your hopefully positive inspection.

The 108 poems comprising The Music Of Silence have been in large part inspired by my own experiences in life, the everyday joys and sorrows I’ve known along with the contemplation that has accompanied these in their turn. The entries in this collection reflect a wide range of feelings ranging from profound melancholy to sardonic humor to wistful romanticism to soaring ecstasy, and contain I hope a fair grain of hard-earned wisdom which you may find most useful food for thought concerning your own living’s negotiation, through good times and bad.

I will welcome all feedback concerning this volume and its companion, Flowers Of Wisdom, which is also available on this site and others. I’ll soon have my own website linked to this site called HeadLit.com where in addition to the poetry available here I’ll be posting chapters from my historical novel now in progress called The Road To Battle which depicts the fateful events leading to the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. I hope you’ll enjoy The Music Of Silence and inform me regarding your opinion of it. Thank you.

Message To Readers – Flowers Of Wisdom

Hello. Thank you for choosing to read this message. I’ve loved language and literature since I was a child, and poetry most of all. It’s thus with great pride and pleasure I present the second of my first two poetry volumes, Flowers Of Wisdom, the companion to my first volume, The Music Of Silence, also available on this site and others, for your hopefully positive inspection.

The 108 poems comprising Flowers Of Wisdom are the result of my long reflection stemming from both life experience and intense historical/philosophical study. There are poems here which ruminate upon the more serious aspects of human existence, and those which are informed by an exuberant passion for living I hope you find infectious. There is satire to be found here, and even eroticism, the latter in some cases proving tongue in cheek. I also hope you shall discern wisdom within these pages that may help you better confront the challenges of your own life, with humor and appreciation of the glory attending our human condition, for all its toil and troubles.

I will welcome all feedback concerning this volume and its companion, The Music Of Silence.

Also on this web site you will find excerpts from my historical novel The Road To Battle, which depicts the events leading up to the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. I hope you enjoy Flowers Of Wisdom and will inform me regarding your opinion of it. Thank you.
